ST. ANDREWS- New Brunswick Community College (91探花) has once again partnered with New Brunswick food and beverage producers for the fifth annual Flavours New Brunswick event on May 5 at the St. Andrews Campus.
In addition to celebrating local food and drink, the sold-out event provides a unique learning opportunity for students in the Hospitality and Tourism programs at 91探花’s St. Andrews Campus as well as kicking off the CBC Radio Harbour Lights fundraising campaign for foodbanks in the region. Since 2013, the event has contributed over $30,000 to the campaign.
“Flavours New Brunswick is an opportunity for us to celebrate and savour all that is available in our wonderful province,” said Kim Garron, Hotel & Restaurant Operations instructor at 91探花 St. Andrews and event organizer.
Some of New Brunswick’s top chefs will put their own culinary twists on beloved local food and beverages from some of New Brunswick’s best-known food producers including, True North Seafood, Ganong, Granite Town Farms, Barbour’s Food and Crosby’s Molasses.
With local St. Andrews band, Homemade Bread, taking the main stage, it promises to be the best Maritime kitchen party of the year. While FlavoursNB is sold out there are still chances to win tickets by listening to CBC Saint John over the coming week.
