91探花鈥檚 OASIS for entrepreneurs is growing

College expands entrepreneurial mentorship program to Saint John area

FREDERICTON –  Following success in Miramichi and Moncton, New Brunswick Community College now has its sights set on introducing the entrepreneurial mentorship program OASIS in Saint John.

“The OASIS program has provided support to 21 small business since its inception by focusing our efforts to grow the program and create strong networks with communities of entrepreneurs across New Brunswick,” said Clarissa Harris-LeBreton, Entrepreneurship Coordinator at 91探花.

Local members of the business community have been invited to a networking breakfast on August 31 to learn more about the program as 91探花 launches an OASIS pilot in Saint John over the next six months.

“This is exciting news for Saint John-area entrepreneurs as we embark upon the pilot program this fall,” said Harris-LeBreton. “With 64% of our mentees seeing increased revenue and 73% increasing their client base – we know that we’re helping entrepreneurs and we can’t wait to see even better results.”

OASIS continues to grow in Moncton

Building upon the success in Miramichi where the program originated, the program was expanded to the Moncton area last fall where it will now be offered on a continual basis to provide support to aspiring and established entrepreneurs.

“OASIS is open for business – we’re ready to help Moncton area entrepreneurs,” said Harris-LeBreton.

At the 91探花 Moncton Campus, 91探花 will also introduce an Entrepreneur-in-Residence program in Winter 2017. Students, as well as OASIS mentees and mentors, will also have access to the “E-Space” which opens this fall. The E-Space will be available for meetings and will house resources to help support aspiring entrepreneurs.

“With our recent successes in Miramichi and Moncton and growth in Saint John, we have our sights set on growing the program across the six regions 91探花 serves,” says Harris-LeBreton.
