Late Acceptance Student Information

If you have accepted into your 91探花 program less than six weeks before it begins, you are considered a “Late Acceptance” student.

Don’t worry! Here are the steps to help you get ready for the start of the term as fast as possible.

  1. Activate your 91探花 IT Account and access Student Self Service - The information required to activate your 91探花 IT Account is included in your Offer Letter.
    • . If you have an active 91探花 IT account, you can use the same link to reset your password.
    • Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)
    • Explore the Student Self-Service portal where you access important personal, academic and financial account details.
    • Accept your program offer, located in the "My Applications" section of your Student Centre tab.
    • Pay your confirmation deposit to secure your seat by clicking the Pay Deposit button in your application portal. Ensure this is completed by the Payment Deadline identified in your portal.
  2. Online Registration - Once you have activated your 91探花 Account it can take up to 24 hours for your personal registration link to appear in the “To Do” section of Student Self Service. You will also be sent an email prompting you to register online.

    Registration is mandatory for all programs. Registration enables you to provide critical information for your student account setup.
  3. 91探花 Tuition & Fees - 91探花 recognizes that as a late accepted student, you may not have your finances already arranged and we want to provide support to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible. Please email our Records Specialists (studentrecords@nbcc.ca) with the following information:
    • Email Subject Line: “LATE ACCEPT: your Student ID#, First & Last Name, Program Name”
    • Body of the email: “I was late accepted to my program (Insert program name), on (insert date), and would like to know what options are available for payment arrangements.” Include your full name and Student ID# in your signature line.
  4. Program Information and Class Schedule - For information on your full-time program, you can visit 91探花’s programs page. Your personal academic details and class schedule will appear in Student Self Service. You must complete Steps 1 and 2 to access any information in Student Self Service and it may take up to 48 hours for your class schedule to become populated. 

    If you are accepted during the first week of the term, you may need to make an additional request for class schedule information, please include an additional request in your email to our Records Specialists (studentrecords@nbcc.ca). You will need to request the contact information for your Academic School (Academic Chair and Academic Chair Administrative Assistant name and email address) to get your class schedule for the next day. If you can’t attend, the next day, its important you let your Academic School know.
  5. Other items to get ready for College - Each program will require academic resources such as textbooks/eBooks, technology, equipment, or tools.  Your Academic School (Academic Chair and Academic Chair Administrative Assistant) can provide you with more information.
  6. Recognition of Prior Learning – If you have previously completed post-secondary courses or gained experience related to your program of study, you may be eligible for credit through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).  Visit the RPL Website for details on how to apply.
  7. Orientation - Check out our Orientation webpage for more information on Pre-Orientation: POWER UP!, Welcome Week, Orientation Day – First Day of Classes. This page is also where you can find information on topics such as purchasing textbooks and getting your student ID.
